Scandinavia Activity Contest 2007 (SAC).
On the weekend of 22 and 23 September, the fixed bunker visitors spontaneously participated in the Scandinavia Activity Contest.
We did a little preparation. Nevertheless, the results were good.

Saturday in the morning Edwin PD1EVL, Gideon, Marianne PD7MAR, and Jesse PE1RUI did do the build-up.
We fixed the 3 elements ZX-Yagi monoband have used beam for 20 meters and three wires dipole antennae for 20, 40, and 80 meters.
After building up, it became more crowded in the bunker.

Pieter PD5EW made the following photographs:

The photograph above is of the antenna park we used for the Scandinavian activity contest.
The left antenna stretched to the green tower is the 20 meters dipole.
Somewhere there is also an 80 meters dipole.
On the right angle, there is a 40 meters dipole.

Where as Jesse PE1RUI start with contesting, Edwin PD1EVL , Gideon, Maurice, Pieter PD5EW and Walther PD0SCL are going to work on the network in the bunker.
In a short time, the laptops were installed in the network thru a hub.
Network is working well end in the meantime we well experiment with the use of the contest programme
n1mm.
We have especially chosen for this for free contest logging programme because of the large number of contesten that it supported, and it is possible by means of network several work stations, for possibly future multi operator couple multi transmitter contesten.

Also good visible that Edwin was enjoying himself with his transceiver.
On these operators could who nevertheless did not work the main station make some connections on the other bands. We were in the category MOST active (Multi operator Single Transmitter).
On the laptop, you can follow well how it went with the contest.

Screenshot of the screen of n1mm during the contest.
Software is for us still just as new, however, just as gets used.
The program works fine and rapidly everybody is accustomed to it.
Of course, we have not yet familiar with all the options.

On the left Gideon is very busy with the configuration of the laptops of the network.
Jesse PE1RUI is in the meantime still busy with the contesting.
Walther PD0SCL has taken care of access points. After everything worked ok we went to the next step.
Also this worked after installation and establishes by Pieter PD5EW, Maurice, and Walther perfectly PD0SCL, and the laptops worked well with n1mm.

Saturday evening has Eduard NL-12469 took care of the necessary support, still visited.  Sundays Piet PE0PDV and Rob has helped PE1KHX took care of support and with the cleaning of the station. Thanks.
During this sociable contest the contest operators were: Edwin PD1EVL, Gideon, Pieter PD5EW, Maurice, and Jesse PE1RUI.

We made 217 connections with other amateurs stations from Scandinavian countries and thereby 70 multipliers had gained. Well for 15190 points!
At these contest Scandinavian stations could not make the only connection with Scandinavian stations…  What us concern, therefore, an excellent result.
The fixed bunker visitors are more often go to join contesting.

Are you interested to participate? Get in touch then with Jesse PE1RUI!
